       While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” judge Allan Davis, of the probate court of Hancock County (Federal enclave of) Ohio, rules that Donald Eugene Miller Jr. is still legally dead.  In 1994 Davis declared Miller (a jobless alcoholic) legally dead after he had left the state.  Miller had three years to challenge the ruling before the statute of limitations expired.

       Antoine Jones, an Albany, georgia probation officer (acting under-color-of-law) fatally shoots “Patches,” a two-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, belonging to Cherrie Shelton.  The six-foot, 300-pound Jones said the 12-pound dog caused him to “fear for his life.”

       Postscript: After an investigation the Department of Corrections concluded that Jones “acted appropriately.”

       Fallout from 9-1-1 (9/11/2001): Chairman K. Rupert Murdoch, of 21st Century Fox, at the Plaza Hotel, in New York City, hosts a polito-celebrity roast of Republican (fascist/socialist) former Vice President Richard B. Cheney.  The evening abounds with jokes about torture, waterboarding, in-humane conditions, et cetera.
