While the United States Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Hillary Rodham Clinton, secretary of state, speaking in Mexico City, Mexico, blames the United States as the source of guns that
I have discussed with the Secretary and with the President what the United States can do to reduce the demand for drugs in our own country, and to stop the flow of illegal guns across our border to Mexico. And I reported to them on the major steps that our government announced yesterday.
NOTES:
- The “guns” that Clinton is speaking of are antitank rockets, armor-piercing munitions, grenade launchers, explosives and “assault” rifles. These are not the kind of weapons that are sold at gun shows in the U.S. These are weapons that only the U.S. government may legally possess, and are no doubt being stolen from Mexican armories by corrupt Mexican officials and being sold on the black (free) market.
- That same month. Mexican authorities in Reynosa across the border from McAllen, seized the country’s single largest stash of cartel weapons — nearly 300 assault rifles, shoulder-fired grenade launchers and a half million rounds of ammunition.
Postscript: Weeks later when the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms tired to investigate the matter, Mexican defense officials refused to provide the serial numbers of these weapons that would allow identification of the buyers and sellers.

Robert S. Mueller, III, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, testifies to the senate judiciary committee that his agency is being stretched thin by the explosion of financial fraud cases during the Greatest Depression: “These cases are straining the FBI’s resources. Indeed, we have had to shift resources from other criminal programs to address the current financial crisis.”
Question: Might Mueller choose to redirect his efforts from spying on the activities of United states subject/enemy/citizens who espouse alternative political opinions toward investigating real crime?

Edward Leamer, Director of the Anderson Business School Forecast, at the University of california, Los Angeles, dismisses the notion of the Great Recession: “We’ve frightened consumers to the point where they imagine there is a good prospect of a Great Depression. That certainly is not in the prospect. No reputable forecaster is predicting anything like a Great Depression.”
