Woe unto you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge.

The Federal court for the district of north dakota hands down United states v. Peltier, sentencing Leonard Peltier, an American Indian Movement activist, to two consecutive life terms for the murders of two Federal Bureau of Investigation agents which he did not commit. Throughout the trial the prosecution continuously withheld exculpatory (proof of innocence) evidence and tampered with witnesses.
Postscript: Three decades later Peltier’s cousin and former business partner, Bob Robideau, confessed to the murders.
