W. Mark “Deepthroat” Felt, Associate Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, disaffected with being passed over for promotion to become the new Director of the FBI, following the death of J. Edgar Hoover, telephones Robert U. Woodward, an investigative reporter for the Washington Post, and offers to give him information on the Watergate burglary—on the condition of anonymity.
Question: Would Felt have been motivated to betray his boss (Republican (fascist/socialist) de facto President Nixon, Esq., had he been promoted to the number one position at the FBI?
NOTE: As an attorney (Officer of the Court) Nixon was ineligible to serve in two branches of government at the same time, according to Article I, Section 6 [Clause 2].
