While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are in Vietnam, “united in … determination to take all necessary measures in support of freedom,” Henry Kissinger, National Security Advisor to Republican (fascist/socialist) de facto President Nixon, Esq., confides in Zhou Enlai, Premier of communist People’s Republic of (mainland/“Red”) China, that the U.s. government would accept a communist victory in the Second Vietnamese Civil War, as along as there were an “decent interval” between that event and the withdrawal of U.s. Armed Forces.
Postscript: After this “decent interval,” almost another 2,000 U.s. Armed Forces lost their lives in Vietnam, before the communist Democratic Republic of (North) Vietnam won the war.
NOTE: As an attorney (Officer of the Court) Nixon was ineligible to serve in two branches of government at the same time, according to Article I, Section 6 [Clause 2].
