ELECTION DAY: voters in colorado pass Amendment 64 YEA – 55%, NAY – 45%; and voters in washington pass Initiative 502 YEA – 56%, NAY – 44%.  Both referendums legalize the recreational use of marijuana.  This makes colorado and washington the first two states to nullify Federal anti-marijuana statutes within their jurisdictions.
