The Wars of the Roses end at the Battle of Bosworth Field: Henry Tudor (r. 1485 – 1499), commanding the Lancastrian Army, defeats the Yorkist Army commanded by Richard III (r. 1483 – 1485).
NOTE: Henry seized the crown from Richard (who was killed in the battle) and proclaimed himself Henry VII.
Postscript: To reunite the two royal houses Henry married Elizabeth of York, daughter of Edward IV, who had the strongest Yorkist claim on the throne.
