Democratic (socialist/fascist) governor William B. Richardson, III, of the Federal enclave of New Mexico, signs Senate Bill 258, establishing a state program to administer medicinal marijuana to residents under a physician’s supervision.  “What we’re talking about is 160 people in deep pain.  It only affects them.”

       NOTE: This makes the Federal enclave of New Mexico the twelfth (and fourth by legislative statute) “state” to legalize the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes.

       While the United States Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are in Afghanistan, Djibouti, Iraq, the Philippines and west Africa defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” the supreme court, of the corporate United states, hands down massachusetts v. Environmental Protection Agency, declaring carbon dioxide—the substance that plants breathe to give off oxygen—as a pollutant, to be regulated under the Clean Air Act.

       Don’t all mammals inhale air and exhale a larger portion of CO₂?  Will we all have to wear nose & mouth meters?  What of cattle, horses, not to mention cats, dogs, whales, etc.?  –– JL

       New Century Financial, the nation’s largest subprime (junk) mortgage lender, files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, due to the collapse of the subprime market.  NCF had been heavily invested in the marketing of subprime mortgages, and is now unable to sell them to other banks around the world, as many of these banks have become overexposed to subprime mortgages.
