Democratic (constitutionalist) President Cleveland turns the presidency over to Republican (proto-fascist/socialist) former Governor William McKinley, of the federal enclave of Ohio. Cleveland is giving to McKinley a national debt that has expanded from 1,500,000,000 to 1,800,000,000 Dollars, going from 10 to 11% of the Gross National Product, and from 23 to 25 Dollars per person.
NOTES:
- The nation is still paying for the Panics of 1837 and 1857; the War of Federal Aggression; and now the Panic of 1893 through lawful Indirect (tariffs and excise) taxes placed upon manufactured goods.
- This is when the Democratic and Republican (status quo) parties began their duopoly on political power.
