While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” G. Zachary Terwilliger, U.s. attorney for the eastern district of the commonwealth of virginia (the “hanging district”), releases a 17 count indictment against Julian P. Assange, editor and founder of Wikileaks, for publishing material embarrassing to the U.s. government. The charges are intended to keep Assange in prison for 175 years. This is the first time a journalist has been charged under the Espionage Act of 1918, and opens up the possibility for prosecuting any journalist, at anytime, anywhere in the world for offending the U.s. national security state.
