While the United States Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are in Afghanistan, Djibouti, Iraq, the Philippines and west Africa defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Republican de facto President George W. Bush signs house joint resolution 47, raising the national debt limit another 781,000,000,000 “dollars,” to almost 9,000,000,000,000 “dollars.”
NOTES:
- Among the Republican legislators voting to increase the debt limit were senator John Kyl, of the Federal enclave of Arizona; senator Mitch McConnell, of the commonwealth of kentucky; CONgressman John Boehner, of the Federal enclave of Ohio; and CONgressman Eric Cantor, of the commonwealth of virgina.
- Since 2001, when Bush took office, the ostensibly “conservative” Republicans had increased the national debt limit by 50%.
- So much for conservative Republicans!
