Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents (acting under-color-of-law), arrest 30 undocumented aliens (free-market workers), from El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, and the former Soviet republic of the Ukraine, in a sting operation, at Johnson Air Force Base, in Goldsboro, north carolina. The ICE agents posed as Office of Safety and Health Administration inspectors, and announced a mandatory safety meeting for all workers of defense contractors, at the base.
NOTE: OSHA criticized the action, for making it more difficult for the agency to perform its function of insuring workplace safety. As Hispanic workers will be less likely to trust allegedly OSHA sponsored events in the Future. Over the course of the past several years, Hispanic workers have endured a workplace fatality rate 20% higher than that of workers of African or European heritage.
