I like the semantic value and accuracy of the term “jury pardon”. It may not be the term used by most legal professionals, but I agree it does sound better than “nullification”. Maybe we can begin using it in our literature. Check out the trial of John Lillburne in 1649, alleged by many to be the first instance of jury nullification–though no principles of liberty were spawned by his “pardon”. —- LD
