The supreme court, of the corporate United states, hands down Lockhart v. McCree: via the fraudulent 14th amendment it is lawful to exclude opponents of the death penalty from sitting on a trial jury that is hearing a capital case (one in which the death penalty might be imposed), but constitutional requirements for a fair trial do not require that those in favor of capital punishment be excluded from such a case.
