       In the District of Columbia, the National Intelligence Directorate, of Chile; and the Coordination of United Revolutionary Organizations, with a car bomb, assassinate Orlando Letelier, exiled former Foreign Minister of Chile, and his co-worker Ronni Moffitt, a United States subject/enemy/citizen.  George Hebert Walker Bush, Director of Central Intelligence, deflects attention away from the right-wing Cuban exiles, insisting that the real assassins were leftists trying to create a martyr for their cause.  CORU met had with Bush’s deputy, U.s. Army Lieutenant General Vernon Walters (private mercenary).

       Postscript: Later that year on a visit to Miami, florida, when asked by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents, investigating the murders, “for information from the CIA on where explosives [for the assassination] were stashed,” Bush, answered with “forget about it.”  During Bush’s tenure at the helm of the CIA, total murders committed by CORU (U.s. based Cuban exiles) exceeded those of Palestinian terrorists.
