Adolf Hitler, dictator of fascist Germany, issues the Weapons Act of 1938, easing gun ownership restrictions for members of the Nazi Party and employees (French for “government workers”), but tightening them against Jews:

  • Section 15 – Private ownership of weapons is not an inalienable right, but a revocable privilege;
  • Section 15 – Persons wishing to own a weapon must prove themselves to be “reliable”;
  • Section 25 – Government may decide which weapons each particular person may own.
