The Democratic (socialist/fascist) Party re-nominates de facto President Franklin Roosevelt, Esq., for a second term. In his acceptance speech, Roosevelt proposes maximizing the progressiveness of the unlawful Federal income tax, by raising the highest income bracket to a sumptuary (confiscatory) 99.5% on all incomes of over 100,000 “dollars” per year.
NOTES:
- Sumptuary laws have been enacted in many cultures to eliminate or mitigate the too obvious display of wealth. Our early tariffs were primarily enacted to tax or amerce luxury goods, such as fancy printed paper for walls, perfumes, and etc. because the less able classes would support such “tax the rich” schemes. Which they did and do. They were known in Rome and lead to the popularity of such uniforms as the toga and the tuxedo.
- This is the further realization of plank number two of the “Communist Manifesto” by Karl Marx.
- As an attorney (Officer of the Court) Roosevelt was ineligible to serve in two branches of government at the same time, according to Article I, Section 6 [Clause 2].
