The superior court, of Norfolk County (massachusetts), hands down commonwealth v. Sacco: judge Webster Thayer sentences Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti to die in the electric chair for murder committed during the course of a robbery. Although the conviction has more to do with the anarchist political beliefs of Sacco and Vanzetti, rather than the robbery itself.
