Republican (fascist/socialist) de facto President Harding (a resident of the Federal enclave of Ohio) lobbies the senate for passage of his proposed tax and spending cuts to help the nation recover from the Panic of 1920.

Postscript: Over the course of three years Harding was successful in cutting Federal expenditures almost in half from 6,300,000,000 Dollars in 1920 to 3,200,000,000 Dollars in 1922; and Federal revenues dropped by over a third from 6,600,000,000 Dollars in 1920 to 4,000,000,000 Dollars in 1922.  The national debt was reduced.  Unemployment fell from 6.7% 1922 to 1.8% in 1926.
