During the Russian Civil War, the People’s Republic of Mongolia declares its independence from the Republic of China, after a decade-long struggle. Five days earlier the Red Army had entered Khuree leaving the Chinese position untenable.
Postscript: Mongolia would not gain international recognition until 1945.
