Presidential (conservative) Reconstruction ends: The Republican (nationalist) 38th Constitutional Congress (elected in accordance with Article I, Section 3 [Clause 1]) reconvenes, declaring that no lawful State governments exist in the former Confederacy; Congress refuses to seat their Senators and Representatives, and declares Reconstruction unfinished.

       [restored 4/23/2022]

Lincoln died the previous April 15, so it only took a little over 8 months to deal with the succession and to get ready to finish off the mortally wounded Constitution.  This is a key date in much forgotten U.S. history.  It continued the reformation of the nation away from the Lawful Constitution, and further into rule by oligarchs, setting the awful precedents that would be brought in to play less than 50 years into the future.  This was the incubator for the infamous Reconstruction ‘Amendments,’ 13, 14 & 15, in the ‘supreme Court’s’ annotated constitution. —— JL
