In the presidential elections Republican (nationalist) President Abraham Lincoln, of the united States, wine the electoral vote accumulating a preliminary 229 Electoral votes against 12 for Democratic (constitutionalist) former General in Chief George B. McClellan.

NOTE: The re-election of President Lincoln proves to be the final nail in the coffin of the Confederacy, as there will be no change in policy toward secession.
