The Information Office of the State Council, of the fascist People’s Republic of China,  publishes “The Human Rights Record of United states in 2008,” pointing out the hypocrisy of U.s.’ foreign policy criticizing other nations for violations of inalienable rights, while denying them at home.  Among examples the report cites are:

  • Illegal Federal Bureau of Investigation surveillance of U.s. subject/enemy/citizen bank accounts, phone records and other personal information;
  • The National Security Agency wiretapping of Ali al-Timimi, a computer consultant and Islamic scholar, which withheld exculpatory evidence from the trial, at which al-Timimi was sentenced to life in prison;
  • The incarceration rate of U.s. subject/enemy/citizens is almost six times the world average;
  • Eleven percent of U.s. subject/enemy/citizens of African heritage is imprisoned;
  • Half of all U.s. subject/enemy/citizens on parole wind up back in prison within three years;
  • The U.s. is one of few nations around the world that tries children as adults.
  • The U.s. is the only nation in the world that sentences children to life in prison without possibility of parole;
  • The Iraqi-American War has resulted in the deaths of more than 1,000,000 Iraqi nationals, and just as many made homeless;
  • The U.s. is the largest exporter of military armaments, thus increasing political instability around the world.
  • In closing the report admonishes: “We hereby advise the U.s. government to begin anew, face its own human rights problems with courage, and stop the wrong practice of applying double standards on human rights issues.”
