The Iraqi Civil War continues: a suicide bomber, presumably from the al-Qaida (Arabic for “the Base”) international terrorist network, strikes disrupts rescue efforts at the site of the bombing of a school bus, in the predominantly Shi’ite Azamiyah district of Baghdad.  Thirty-one Iraqi citizens lost their lives in both attacks.

NOTE: Meanwhile, no members of the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) lost their lives.

The fourth AIG bailout: While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Henry M. Paulson, secretary of treasury announces, the purchase of 40,000,000,000 “dollars” more in newly issued American International Group preferred stock (paying a fixed guaranteed dividend), with Troubled  (worth less) Asset Relief Program funds.  This brings the total exposure to AIG debt by the U.s. treasury to 150,000,000,000 “dollars.”

Also, the Bernanke Doctrine continues, as the Federal Reserve (central) Bank of New York establishes “Maiden Lane II, a limited liability corporation (LLC), chartered in delaware, to purchase and sell 22,500,000,000 “dollars” worth of “toxic” (worth less) mortgage backed securities being held by AIG.
