The Boston Revolt: Inspired by the Glorious Revolution, former Governor Simon Bradstreet, of the colony of Massachusetts Bay, commanding the provincial Militia (subject-volunteers) leads the bloodless Boston Revolt against the despotic rule of Edmund Andros, Royal Governor of the Dominion of New England.  Bradstreet orders Andros, and his ministers taken into custody, the Dominion government dissolved, and the colonies of Connecticut, Massachusetts Bay, New Hampshire, East and West (New) Jersey New York, and Rhode Island and Providence Plantations re-established.
