Bank of America, the nation’s largest commercial bank, reaches an agreement with insolvent subprime predatory mortgage lender Countrywide Financial Corporation to purchase the nation’s largest mortgage lender, for 4,100,000,000 “dollars” in common stock (having voting rights, but no guaranteed dividends).

       While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” the Federal court for the District of Columbia refuses to hear Rasul v. Myers: Internees at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, Cuba, are not “persons” as defined by the Constitution for the united States.  And thus may be denied Constitutional protections of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, the Alien Tort Statute and the Geneva Conventions.
