Commander Robert D. Randall, Jr., commanding the USS Gonzalez, and Captain James R. Yohe, commanding the USS Cape St. George, defeats three skiffs of the volunteer coast guard of Somalia, destroying one, killing at least one coastguardsman, and capturing 12, including five wounded.

       NOTE: The volunteer coast guard of Somalia is derisively portrayed as being “pirates.”  No doubt there has been piracy; but their prime motivation has been to stop the dumping of nuclear waste in Somalia’s territorial waters.
