While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are in Afghanistan, Djibouti, Iraq, the Philippines and west Africa defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” the Federal court for the southern district of california hands down United states v. Cunningham: judge Larry A. Burns reduces the prison term of former Republican (fascist/socialist) Randall “Duke” Cunningham, of the republic of california, from ten years to eight years and four months, because of his service in the Vietnamese-American War.  During allocution, Cunningham confessed to accepting 2,400,000 “dollars” in bribes, and evading more than 1,000,000 “dollars” in income taxes.  Cunningham “bellied and hectored” Department of Defense bureaucrats into approving contracts for Cunningham’s benefactors.
