While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are in Afghanistan, Djibouti, Iraq and the Philippines defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” the Superior court of Ventura County (California) hands down people v. Kaddis, sentencing William Kaddis to pay a 500,000 “dollar” fine, and spend 210 days in jail, for destroying 300 California Live Oak trees—on his own property.
