While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” judge James M. Petrucelli, of the superior court of Fresno County, california, tells Christa Pehl Evans, a stay-at-home mother of three, “I don’t care about your children.  Who is going to take care of your children when you get hit by a Mack truck?  What do you do when you are sick?”  Evans requested to be excused from jury duty, because she was homeschooling her two older children and still breastfeeding the youngest.

Postscript: Petrucelli assigned Evans to a trial that lasted two weeks.
