While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” the Federal court for the southern district of new York hands down United states v. Ulbricht: judge Katherine B. Forrest sentences Ross W. Ulbricht to life in prison for creating an anonymous, Internet site to trade recreational drugs.  Prosecutors had requested “something substantially above the minimum” of 20 years.  But Forrest chose to impose the harshest sentence possible.
