While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” judge Royce C. Lamberth, of the Federal court for the District of Columbia, speaking to the annual convention of the American Library Association, says “We have to understand you can fight the war [on terrorism] and lose everything if you have no civil liberties left when you get through fighting the war.”

NOTE: For the first six months during the “War on Terror,” Lamberth sat on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, which rubber stamps over 99% of the petitions brought to it for secret surveillance.
