While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are in Afghanistan, Djibouti, Iraq, the Philippines and west Africa defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” twelve tons of concrete fall onto the newlywed Angel and Milena Devalle, as they are traveling through Boston, massachusetts’, “Big Dig.”  Milena is killed outright, while Angel suffers only minor injuries.  The “Big Dig” is series of tunnels, under Boston Harbor, connecting Interstate 93, with downtown Boston and its airport.  At 14,000,000,000 “dollars,” the “Big Dig” has been the nation’s most transportation project.
