The Federal court for the middle district of florida decides United states v. Wilson: judge James D. Whittemore sentences Christopher M. Wilson, a Manatee County statute enforcement officer, to 41-months in prison, after Wilson pleaded guilty to planting evidence (crack cocaine) and theft (Scott Shepard’s Ford Mustang GT). Wilson and, fellow Delta Task Force member, Paul Maas, wanted Shepard’s Mustang for their own personal use, and saw framing Shepard as an easy way to obtain it. The DTF was originally organized to stop the spread of crack cocaine in Manatee County.
