       Larry Beinhart publishes American Hero, a novel about a fictional president who uses a war in the middle east to divert public attention away from his own sex scandal.

       Postscript: Four years later Barry Levinson premiered the Hollywood motion picture “Wag the Dog,” based on the novel.
