The supreme court, of the corporate United states, hands down michigan Department of State Police v. Sitz, reversing a decision by the state supreme court that struck down sobriety checkpoints without probable cause as being unlawful. The court has now sanctioned the detainment of travelers for immigration status and sobriety, which two decades previous it would not allow.
