       The grand jury, of Los Angeles County, california hands down indictments on 115 counts of child abuse, against Virginia McMartin, founder of the McMartin Preschool in Manhattan Beach; Peggy McMartin Buckey, Virginia’s daughter; Ray Buckey, Peggy’s son; Peggy Ann Buckey, Ray’s sister; and three teachers Mary Ann Jackson, Betty Raidor, and Babette Spitler.  The indictments are based on interviews in which children said that they were flushed down toilets, taken through underground tunnels to secret rooms where they were molested; they saw flying witches; participated in orgies at car washes and airports; rode in hot air balloons.  One child even claimed to have been molested by Chuck Norris, a Hollywood actor.
