The Civil Rights Movement continues: north carolina Agricultural and Technical State University students David E. Richmond, Franklin E. McCain, Ezell A. Blair, Jr. (a.k.a. Jibreel Khazan), and Joseph A. McNeil purchase sundry toiletries at the Woolworth department store, in Greensboro, north carolina, then sit down at the racially segregated lunch counter, and order coffee.  The “Greensboro Four” are denied service, but remain seated until closing time, vowing to return each and every day until they are served.
