The Civil Rights Movement continues: after having spread to four other confederate states with over 70,000 United states subject/enemy/citizens of African heritage participating, and suffering a one-third drop in revenues, Clarence L. Harris, General Manager of the Woolworth department store, in Greensboro, north carolina, orders three of his workers—of African heritage—to change out of their uniforms and sit down at the lunch counter.  They become the first customers to successfully integrate the previously segregated lunch counter.
