De facto Democratic (socialist/fascist) governor Franklin Roosevelt, Esq., of new york, addressing a conference of governors, says,
[T]here is a tendency, and to my mind a dangerous tendency, on the part of our national government, to encroach, on one excuse or another, more and more upon state supremacy. The elastic theory of interstate commerce, for instance, has been stretched almost to the breaking point to cover certain regulatory powers desired by Washington.
Postscript: Four years later, as President Roosevelt would expand this encroachment of Federal powers upon state supremacy to unprecedented heights.
NOTE: As an attorney (Officer of the Court) Roosevelt was ineligible to serve in two branches of government at the same time, according to Article I, Section 6 [Clause 2].
