The Long Night continues: Three days of rioting concludes in East St Louis, Illinois.  State residents of European heritage upset over the influx of laborers of African heritage from the confederate states murdered at least 40 descendants of freedmen.  Six-thousand were made homeless.  And 400,000 Dollars’ worth of property was destroyed.
