The supreme court, of the corporate United states, decides Maxwell v. Dow: Via the fraudulent 14th amendment – States are free to alter, or even abolish, Trial by Jury, or indictment by Grand Jury, as they see fit.
NOTE: The best way to insure the protections of Trial by Jury and indictment by Grand Jury is ensure those rights are in one’s State constitution.
