A lawfully elected Senate (within the provisions of Article I, Section 3 [Clause 1]) passes, and sends on to the House of Representatives, the Titles of Nobility Amendment, which would prohibit State sovereign Citizens who accept royal titles from holding office.

NOTE: The reason for TONA was fear that the illegitimate nephew of Emperor Napoleon I, of France, who was born in Baltimore, Maryland, might one day lay claim to the “throne” of the united States.

CONSPIRACY ALERT: There is a small fringe group that claims that the reason for the TONA was to prevent attorneys from holding public office, and that the reason for Major General Robert Ross burning the District of Columbia during the Napoleonic (world) War of 1812 was to destroy evidence of the TONA’s ratification.
