Non-partisan (nationalist) President Washington signs the Presidential Succession Act 1792, when a vacancy occurs in BOTH the offices of President and Vice President, the President pro Tempore of the Senate shall temporarily act as president solely for the purpose of calling for a new presidential election the following December.
