PATRIOTS DAY: The Federal Court for the District of Columbia hands down Pearson v. McCaffery: judge William B. Bryant refuses to hear the petition of five physicians suing on behalf of their patients for the right to prescribe medicinal marijuana. The Federal government has the lawful power via
- Article I, Section 8 [Clause 3] (the Interstate Commerce Clause) and
- Article IV, Section 2 (the Supremacy Clause)
to nullify the implementation of state medical marijuana laws.
