While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” the City Commission, of Grand Rapids, michigan reaches an out of court settlement for 190,000 “dollars” with Jilmar Ramos-Gomez, a former U.s. Marine suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Ramos was about to be released from pre-trial confinement when Curtis Vander Kooi, a city statute enforcement officer (acting under-color-of-law) ordered Ramos transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for possible deportation.  This despite the fact that Ramos was born in the U.s. and in possession of a U.s. passport.  Ramos spent three days in ICE custody.

       NOTES:

  • This award came not out of the property and pension of VanderKooi, who was responsible for this injustice, but out of the lawful taxes paid by city residents, who did not do this.
  • As punishment, Vander Kooi received a 20-hour suspension without pay.
