The supreme court, of the corporate United states, hands down wyoming v. Houghton, reversing a state supreme court decision: police may search the belongings of the “passengers” (a legal term for “persons” who have paid for commercial transit) of a “vehicle” (a legal term for an “automobile or truck” bearing goods, services or persons in commercial transit), even though they only have reason to believe that the “driver” (a legal term for a “traveler” transporting goods, services or persons in commerce) may be the sole offender.
