[Our] people are not a warlike nation. It is a soldierly one, which means it does not want war but does not fear it. It loves peace, but also its honor and freedom.
——Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf.
We are not a warlike people. Quite the opposite. We always seek to live in peace. We resort to force infrequently and with great reluctance–and only after we have determined that it is Abuolutely necessary.
——Ronald W. Reagan, July 17, 1980.
Wag the Dog III: In an effort to restore his damaged presidency following his senate trial for high crimes and misdemeanors, de facto Commander in Chief Clinton, Esq., orders the United states Air Force (private mercenaries) to participate in the indefinite North Atlantic Treaty Organization bombing of the former Yugoslav Republic of Serbia-Montenegro in its war against the separationist enclave of Kosovo.
Postscript: The campaign lasted 78 days, and killed over 2,000 civilians, destroyed over 300 schools and libraries, more than 20 hospitals, and at least 40,000 homes.
NOTES:
- For a decade following the end of the Cold War Russians had high hopes of emulating the United States. That honeymoon ended when Clinton ordered the NATO bombing of the former Yugoslav Republic of Serbia-Montenegro, an ethnically Slavic nation. Traditionally ethically Slavic Russia has seen itself as the protector of all Slavic nations in Europe. Insult to injury was added when the NATO began expanding to the east, incorporating former Soviet allies.
- This is the second time the United States has bombed Serbia-Montenegro; whereas Serbia-Montenegro has never bombed the U.s.
- As an attorney (Officer of the Court) was ineligible to serve in two branches of government at the same time, according to Article I, Section 6 [Clause 2].
