The ninth circuit court of appeals refuses to hear Kasza v. Browner, an appeal from two widows, whose husbands, they claim died from exposure to burning toxic chemicals at the top secret Federal installation commonly known as “Area 51.”  One of the employees (Federal workers), Robert Frost, had filed a claim for worker’s compensation, but was refused, on national security grounds.  The widows, Stella Kasza and Helen Frost, did not even ask for compensation, only for the U.S Air Force to admit it was storing, and handling, toxic chemicals in violation of Environmental Protection Agency regulations.  In the Opinion of the Court, Judge Pamela Rymer states, ” [A]ny further proceeding in this matter would jeopardize national security.”  Furthermore, the Department of the Air Force is under no obligation to disclose the type of hazardous chemicals its employees (government workers) were handling, or whether in fact they were ever handling, hazardous chemicals at its secret base, known as “Area 51” (90 miles north of Las Vegas, (Federal enclave of) Nevada-or even that “Area 51” does in fact exist.

NOTE: Many conspiracy theorists claim “Area 51” is a landing port for extraterrestrial spacecraft, there is little evidence to support the claim that “Area 51” is anything more than a top secret base where the United States Air Forces most advanced aircraft, such as the SR-71 Blackbird, and the F-117A stealth fighter, were tested.
