Trans World Airways flight 800 explodes 12 minutes into its flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Rome, Italy.

       CONSPIRACY ALERT: The subsequent National Transportation Safety Board investigation concluded that TWA 800 exploded due to faulty design of a fuel tank.  In arriving at this finding, the NTSB ignored,

• The New York City Terminal Radar Approach Control detected an object moving vertically until it hit TWA 800;
• Five weeks after the incident, the Federal Bureau of Investigation put out a cover story reporting a bomb exploded in the cabin; then a month after that, the FBI switched its explanation to “mechanical failure alone”;
• Eight witnesses who saw an object “hit the aircraft” were not allowed to testify to the NTSB.

       NOTE: The simplest explanation is that TWA 800 was either brought down intentionally by terrorists, or accidentally of the United states Navy.
